This lamb chops recipe is one of my go-to for a quick but decadent dinner—it’s perfect for any night of the week. Sure, there are tons of lamb chop recipes out there with a garlic butter marinade, but if you know me, you know I like to turn up the heat with something spicy.

Lamb on its own can be a bit bland, but this marinade changes everything.
A handful of pantry spices and a splash of lemon juice are all you need to make these chops.

Be sure to marinate them for at least 30 minutes—don’t skip this step
The marinating time is key to letting the flavors soak into the meat, making it absolutely delicious.

Honestly, I’m not the biggest lamb fan, but the convenience of air-frying and easy-to-find lamb loin chops makes it so simple to switch things up at the dinner table. So try the recipe and let me know how it turns out.

  • Lamb Loin Chops – These chops are 4 to 6 oz each. I bought them frozen and thawed in the refrigerator overnight.
  • Spices – paprika, garlic powder, and oregano
  • Olive oil – Helps seasonings stick and crisp the chops.
  • Lemon juice – Adds a nice tang to the meat.
  • Salt & Pepper – To taste.

How to Cook Lamb Chops in Air Fryer

Step 1: Pat the lamb chops dry with a paper towel.

Step 2: In a small bowl, mix together the oil, lemon juice, salt, paprika, and garlic powder to make the marinade.

Step 3: Coat the lamb chops evenly with the marinade and place them in a dish to marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 24 hours for deeper flavor.

Step 4: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

Step 5: Place the lamb chops in the air fryer and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side for a medium doneness. For well-done lamb chops, cook for 5 to 6 minutes per side.

Brush some melted butter or any flavored butter before serving.

Recipe Tips

  • Let the lamb chops marinate for at least 30 minutes to soak up all the flavors. You can even marinate them the day before for an even deeper flavor.
  • When reheating in the air fryer, keep in mind that the lamb chops will cook a bit more, so this is important if they were originally cooked to medium.

Serving Suggestions

Serve these lamb chops with roasted vegetables or you can also try them with mashed potatoes for a filling meal.

A side of creamy yogurt or tzatziki makes a perfect cool and tangy dip to complement the flavors.

Storage

Reheat: Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 3-4 minutes to maintain crispiness.

Notes

Add chili flakes or red chili powder for more heat.
Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days. You can reheat in the Air fryer at 350F for a few minutes.
Note if the chops had been cooked to medium initially, they’ll cook more when you reheat them.
