Quick and Easy Air Fryer Turkey Meatballs

I’m all about quick and easy recipes that don’t sacrifice flavor, and these turkey meatballs fit the bill! Made with ground turkey, herbs, and a handful of spices, they turn out perfectly golden in the Air Fryer. No more messy stovetop splatters or waiting around for the oven!

I’ve been using my Air Fryer for almost all my meatball recipes, whether it’s chicken, beef, or turkey. They cook up faster, with a beautiful texture on the outside while staying nice and juicy on the inside. Plus, my kitchen stays cool—bonus!

These meatballs are ready in about 10 minutes. If you’re using a pound of ground turkey, you might need to cook them in two batches, but it’s still quicker than any other method I’ve tried. My kids love helping out in the kitchen with shaping the meatballs, and it’s become a fun little family activity.

Serve these turkey meatballs over some pasta, and zucchini noodles, stuff them in meatball subs or just dip them in marinara sauce for a quick snack. These will be perfect for game day or get-togethers. You really can’t go wrong!

  • Egg: This keeps everything together.
  • Bread Crumbs: I use panko bread crumbs!
  • Parmesan Cheese Grated: Because who doesn’t love a little extra cheesy goodness?
  • Olive Oil: Helps keep the meatballs nice and moist.
  • Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Paprika, Salt, Pepper, Italian Seasoning, and Parsley: All the spices and fresh herbs to add flavor.

Tips for the Best Turkey Meatballs

  • Don’t Overmix: Just mix until everything’s combined. Overmixing can make the meatballs tough.
  • Use a Meat Thermometer: Check the internal temp—it should be 165°F.
  • No Overcrowding: Cook the meatballs in batches so they cook evenly.

Storage

Storing & Reheating

Store any leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Reheat the meatballs in the Air Fryer for a few minutes until warmed through, or use the microwave. If you’re serving them with a sauce, it’s better to reheat them with the sauce to keep them moist and flavorful.

Make-Ahead & Freezing Tips

  • Freezing Cooked Meatballs: Place cooked meatballs on a tray and freeze. Once frozen, transfer them to a bag or container and pop them back in the freezer.
  • Freezing Raw Meatballs: Shape the raw turkey mixture into balls, place on a tray, and freeze. Then transfer them to a freezer bag. Cook them straight from frozen in the Air Fryer at 400°F for 15-18 minutes.
